My position as Office Manager requires me to produce and update risk assessments for a whole range of school based activities; a task that is becoming more and more time consuming.
The online “School Risk Assessment” package is extremely straight forward to use. The site is easy to access and has numerous pre-completed risk assessments available for use. Each risk assessment advises the user of both the Health and Safety and legal responsibilities attached to each individual task. This useful information assists you in putting together an action plan if required for ongoing assessing or necessary training if required.
The system provides the opportunity to request new risk assessments not already covered by uploading relevant information to the site, these will then be produced and added to the already vast list available.
As well as the above, one invaluable part of the system to me is email reminders. These are to be sent annually when risk assessments are due for renewal ensuring information is constantly updated, and can be re-issued to staff to refresh statutory individual/whole school responsibilities.

Plover Primary School
As Acting Head Teacher at Plover Primary School in Doncaster I was asked if I would trial a new website dealing with the ever increasing demand of producing school risk assessments. I was hoping to be offered a site that was easy to use, provided a good range of pre-prepared risk assessments that were detailed and covered every eventuality and had the facility to offer advice on other risk assessment requirements that were not readily available. That is what I found with School Risk Assessments.
The instruction booklet was clear and easy to follow and allowed me to personally access the site in no time at all. There was a good bank of risk assessments previously programmed in which could then be transferred into my risk assessments and edited accordingly. There were good step by step guides as to how to create a new risk assessment from scratch where one was not readily available and a link to request a new risk assessment by simply providing the relevant requirements and forwarding them to School Risk Assessments. This was a process I used successfully when researching and putting together a risk assessment for expectant mothers working in school.
What I also liked was the effectiveness of the hazard rating system which I found was far easier to use than some other online risk assessment sites that I have experienced over the years.
I would personally like to thank School Risk Assessments for allowing us to be part of their trial and wish them well with their future endeavours.A W Wright

The system was easy to use and the risk assessments were already written. Whenever we needed advice or guidance, there was always someone on the other end of the phone to help.
The guide that is provided really helped in the beginning and after our Health and Safety Audit we were scored ‘outstanding’; thank you for all of your support and help!
